I have been working in the legal field in some capacity since 1995. Whether it was as a legal assistant, paralegal, law clerk, legal book editor, attorney or consultant, my experience is grounded in client relationships, getting results, and knowing the law in many interrelated areas. I grow my practice on the basic famly law fundamentals of returning client telephone calls or emails, ensuring that clients have knowledge of the progress and status of their cases, and remaining sensitive to each individual’s needs and personality. With the help of my network of attorneys and non-attorneys, my clients enjoy professional support and resources to aid in their endeavors. No one case is exactly like another, so I want my clients to feel that uniqueness in my representation.  I do not try to fit cases into boxes that do not suit them, while I strive to maintain a realistic balance for the client against applicable laws.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I keep up on the latest research to better help families of all types.  I am also a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, which is a person who the court assigns to represent the interests of minors or disabled adults in a variety of family law and guardianship cases.  I am also court-appointed as a parenting coordinator in some instances to help high-conflict families communicate better and keep their cases out of court as much as possible.
